Mom's Ktzitzot Recipe

Ingredients:

1.5 Pounds Ground Meat

1 Medium Potato

1 Medium Onion

3 Cloves Garlic

2 Tbsp Matzo Meal

Spices:

1 Tsp Tumeric + a pinch of Cumin

1 Tbsp Paprika

1 Tsp Onion Powder

2 Tsp Garlic Powder

1 Tbsp Salt

2 Tsp Fresh Ground Black Pepper

1 Tbsp Chicken Consume/Boullion

Directions:

-In a food processor add the potato, onion and garlic and pulverize to a mush/pulp, transfer to a bowl and set to the side

-In a large bowl start by adding the Ground Meat, Onion Potato & Garlic Mix, All the spices, the chicken consume and half the Matzo meal, you may need more Matzo Meal if the mixture is too wet, so keep it handy

-Once everything is in a Bowl, mix until very well combined. Then let the prepared mixture sit in the fridge for 30 minutes so the flavors get to know each other a bit

-Prepare your skillet/frying pan by adding an inch of oil and preheat it to a medium high heat.

-Bring the meat mixture back and start forming and frying the ktzitzot by taking approx. a tbsp of the mixture and forming an elongated and flat patty

-Fry the ktzitzot for 2 minutes on each side and drain on a paper towel

-ENJOY!

I enjoy them as a meal with side dishes, or as a snack or whenever because its fried and irresistible
